The mission at Open Arms Studio is to provide living wage work for refugees creating high-quality textile products. Open Arms is social enterprise of the Austin-based nonprofit Multicultural Refugee Coalition, which also runs the 100% organic refugee employed farm, New Leaf Agriculture. Both enterprises are built at the intersection of the traditional, respected skills of sewing and farming that refugees bring and a growing market for local textile & food production. OAS' Farm to Fiber line is about complete transparency and 100% organic products with dye grown and sewn by their refugee farmers and artisans.
