In June 2011 I was on the phone with our Great Pyrenees pup Macallan's 'Breeder Mommy', talking with her about an issue Macallan was having. During the chat we started talking about a health issue I was starting to go through. Kim is not only a responsible breeder of Great Pyrenees dogs, but she and her family are organic farmers. She talked to me about gut health, eating organic, and gave me some sources to look into. I will forever be grateful for what started as a purchase of a Great Pyrenees pup that turned into something that altered my life forever! *We were blessed with Macallan's presence for eleven years! He left us in November 2021. He will forever be appreciated, and missed by me- especially when I work on Serendipite matters. Play free among the angels my sweet boy!
My conversation with Kim led to hours upon hours of research. Wes, my husband, was a firefighter working 24 hour shifts at the time, so I had days where I would be on his computer and do nothing but research, barely stopping to make a meal for myself. I often joke that I felt like the robot Number Five in the movie Short Circuit when he was pouring over books on a shelf repeating "NEED INFO, NEED INFO"......I NEEDED info! (If you've never seen the movie, check it out! It is a fun, quirky movie from the 80's). I learned what we put ONTO our bodies is equally as important as what we put INTO them! The more I researched the more I wanted to know. I was still a 'consultant' with a company whose tagline was Pure, Beneficial, Safe. I believed in the products I used on my body and sold to people who trusted my knowledge. Due to being a consultant, I was able to get into the back end of the company's website and was seeing ingredients I'd learned were questionable. I had been speaking an erroneous message to my customers. I felt like I had been fooled, and I was mad! I felt like I had been fooling people, and that made me feel even worse. I mean, who likes to be fooled? Not me, and I don't want others to be either. And this is where serendipity came into my life (another great movie!). But I'm not talking about the movie of course, I'm talking about the meaning of the word and how it was apropos to my circumstance. My conversation with Kim, the health issue I was going through, my research, all led to my desirable discovery, which then became Serendipite Organiques!
I've not stopped learning and researching since then! It is my mission to help people learn how to decipher ingredients, and provide products that are truly organic with none of the ingredients that are known to be harmful not just to our bodies but also our environment. I'm here to help you in your quest to live a healthier life from the outside in!
